The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum located just 12 miles west of Tucson. Not only lovely views and lush desert but they have insects and animals native to this area. They also teach various class in photograph and painting at their Art Institute.    www.desertmuseum.org

Travel a lot to New Mexico? Why not join the New Mexico painters, they have a helpful website at www.pleinairpaintersnm.org . They host paint outs all over the state and are a very friendly bunch.

www.redferngallery.com  This gallery in Laguna Beach CA has some wonderful work by the masters of California Impressionism and landscapes. Edgar Payne works are always there. Check their website and get on the regular newsletter list. If you are in Laguna beach make a point to see this one.

 Tubac, Arizona is a wonderful little art community that hosts good restaurants, great views, history and good galleries. One stand out is the Los Reyes Gallery, owned by Katherine Reyes, it also hosts workshops and an art supply store available.
