Arizona Plein Air Painters are honored to host “Painters View” at the West Valley Art Museum. All APAP members are encouraged to enter their images.  The Museum has thousands of members and many events that will be held there during our show period providing great exposure for our artists. This show will be hanging small works 5"x7" up to large pieces 3,000 square inches.  Submission does not guarantee entry into the show. A panel of jurors will review the CD images and notify the artist’s of
acceptance/rejection.
$500 first place - $200.00 Second Place - $100.00 Third Place-

We are pleased to announce that our

*Hand Delivery of paintings:  
         Sunday, August 23,  12noon to 4pm ONLY
*APAP Members designated to accept your dropped off or shipped work  TBA.
        A $10.00 fee per painting.
*Show open to public from August 28^th – November 15^{th, 2009
*}Reception: September 11^th,  5:00pm-8:00pm
*Pick up of paintings in person or arrange pickup.
        Sunday, November 15^th, no earlier than
        3:30pm, no later than 5:00pm

Submissions: submission does not guarantee acceptance /APAP members only

*Oil, watercolor, acrylic , and pastel paintings

*5"x7"  up to 3,000 square inches.

*Gallery wraps accepted on 1,000sq. inch up to 3,000 sq. inch pieces only, as long as the painting extends and covers all four sides of the painting, no solid painted sides.
*Representational works, must be original, not done in workshops or classes

*Studio or plein air
*Artist retains copyright to their images(s). However, accepted images do
    become part of the APAP archives and may be used for future APAP
    promotion.
*The decision of the jury panel is final, no change outs or substitutions. Paintings brought
    to the show for hanging must match the entries that were accepted by
    the panel. NO EXCEPTIONS       NO CHANGEOUTS  NO SUBSTITUTIONS
* Professionally framed artwork only, NO SAWTOOTHED hangers.
    Paintings must be professionally framed and wired for hanging.

CD & ENTRY INFO
* NO Slides   NO emailed attachments
*JPG images- medium size-
      Save AS: each image save as-  Your last name-title
* Images are to be on a CD in the same order as the Image List.
      Label CD with Artist Name-Phone-Titles
*Use professional digital images, no frames showing. The jury panel can
    only go by the image you send in.  Take the time to get good photos.

*Separate Image List-  In same order as on the CD- Artist Name-phone- title
    of piece- size- price-medium

Fees:

 

*$35.00 total for all images (1-5) submitted. Check made out to APAP

*You must be a current APAP member to apply. If you are not a current member you may join by filling out the JOIN form on the APAP website and submitting your dues before or with your entry by the JUNE 15^th deadline.
*If you ship your work to our designated people to deliver your work for you there will be a $10.00 per painting handling fee.
Sales Commission:

* NO NFS

*All work must be for sale.  60% to the artist and 40% to APAP/Museum

 

Delivery of Artwork:

*Hand delivered to the Museum on Sunday, Aug. 23^rd from 12:00pm-4:00pm
  ONLY.  You may have someone else deliver your pieces.
   No exceptions to delivery times or dates.

 

Shipped works:  Do NOT Ship Works to Museum

*Do NOT ship any paintings to the Museum.
* When accepted you will receive the names of people whom you can ship
       or drop off your work to bring to the Museum.
*There will be a $10.00 per painting handling fee
* You must include a shipping label ready with the billing Fed EX or UPS
       account information on the forms 
* Paintings not picked up or without
       shipping/billing info prepared will become the property of APAP.
       NO EXCEPTIONS
*Use a sturdy reusable box, bubble wrap, no peanuts.

*Label the inside of your box with your name
